Pastor Dan Chook Reid is on holiday during the month of July and will be returning at the beginning of August.

Requests for emergency pastoral care should go to the Rev. James T. Hurd at 613-225-6648, ext 111 until he goes on holiday July 18 when requests should then be directed to the Rev. Dr Cedric Pettigrew at 613-843-1443.

As we have done in past summers, we have joined with our neighbourhood churches to provide services throughout July and August. Please view the Sermons page for details.

A plan for re-opening on August 2 at St Giles has been prepared, but the Session has not yet made a decision to proceed.

Preaching for the Call — Dialogue with the candidate continues and a new date has not yet been set, but a new date will be no earlier than September.

Elizabeth (Betty) Matthews

With regret, we announce the passing of long-time member Betty Matthews on Wednesday, June 24. We express our condolences to her nephew Gary, other family members and friends. A family graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 27 at Pinecrest Cemetery.

Charles  Beaubien

St Giles lost a valuable member in the passing of Charles Beaubien on Saturday, May 16. Our condolences to his wife Kate and his family. The Memorial Service will take place when we can gather, given the pandemic.

Margaret McLean’s Funeral

Miss Margaret’s funeral was originally scheduled for May 30 at St Giles but it has been postponed until a later date because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Each Monday we have a coffee hour at 1 p.m. by conference call. Please join us.

Walkathon for Centretown Emergency Food Centre

Advance notice: The Walkathon in support of the Centretown Emergency Food Centre will take place on Sunday, October 4. Jean and Stan have participated in all the previous walkathons and welcome others who would like to join them this year.
