Sunday, October 25 ~ 2 p.m.
A benefit concert to help bring a refugee family to Canada, featuring 6 choirs (Christ Church Cathedral Choir, Glebe Collegiate Chamber Choir and Concert Choir, Glebelles, Greely Singers, Hassell Family Singers), 3 soloists (Eva Hassell, fiddle; Stuart MacKinnon, baritone; and Wanda Procyshyn, soprano), and the Kevin Hassell Instrumental Ensemble, finishing with audience and choirs singing the “Hallelujah Chorus” with organist Matthew Larkin. Admission is pay what you can.
The new ramp is being built today, June 23, 2015. The concrete should be dry by tomorrow.
The railings arrived and are in place. The ramp works beautifully.
The Christmas Hamper Project is in full-swing again this year, with a goal of reaching 175 families and individuals in the Ottawa community.
For more than 30 years, the Christmas Hamper Project has supplied thousands of Ottawa families and individuals with boxes of food and toiletries, and small gifts to help make their Christmas season a little brighter.
Hosted by Centretown United Church, hampers will be delivered to families and individuals who have been referred by a number of Centretown emergency food providers.
During the holidays, our thoughts often turn to those less fortunate than ourselves. This worthy project relies on the generosity and the goodwill of the community, and offers a number of ways you can help:
